"Fighting Against Age"
I don't believe in acting one's age.
I will continue to hold my stomach in around women.
I refuse to cut off my hair.
I will not buy larger jeans,
even if I have to lie down and hold my breath to zip them up.
I plan to get a face lift on my 90th birthday.
If my hands won't play the notes fast enough,
I'll think of a slower trick to snow them under.
I'll dazzle them with my footwork.
I'll keep wearing yellow glasses, and insisting they are for night driving.
I will not think old.
A pathetic attempt at youth? Maybe, but at least an attempt.
Old age will get a fight from me all the way.
