"Country Music Slogans"
From yesterday's Boston Globe...
(Projected Country Music slogan.)
"Country. Admit it. You love it!"
In my opinion, Country Music is an original American art form,
and shouldn't need slogans any more than Jazz, Norman Rockwell, or Mark Twain.
"You know you love it." sounds like a Coke ad.
Might as well say: "Country music makes you sexy."
On the other hand, since in this art we don't get funding,
and sales are needed to survive, how about:
"The Art of Country Music.", or: "Country Music, America's Art."
Or to be brutally honest: "Country Music. It's Not All Plastic!"
Or better yet: "COUNTRY MUSIC. SOME OF IT'S DAMN GOOD!"
