"Concerning All The Talk About 'Real' Country"
I've said it before,
but it's worth another shot:
There are two kinds of music,
good and bad.
Misty and I like a lot of kinds of music,
but we sing Country by choice,
not by limitation.
I'm a fan of Lefty, Ernest, Roger Miller,
Hal Willis, Slim Whitman, Earl Scruggs,
J. D. Sumner and the Stamps,
Mayf Nutter, Buster Doss, Jackie Burns,
Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson,
and enough more to fill a book.
But I don't count the chords in a song
to decide if it's REAL Country.
It's the feeling.
Listen to this song of ours
and judge for yourself.
It's REAL Country
and I think it has 9 chords,
but who's counting?
Here it is:
