"Those Innocent Bystanders Hate Us"

Here's a popular American mindset that bothers me, in time of war:

"When you think Taliban, think Nazis. When you think Bin Laden,
think Hitler. And when you think "the people of Afghanistan" think "the
Jews in the concentration camps." It's not only that the Afghan people
had nothing to do with this atrocity. They were the first victims of the
perpetrators. They would exult if someone would come in there, take
out the Taliban and clear out the rats nest of international thugs holed
up in their country."

The problem I see here is this:

Those innocent Afghanistanis are the ones dancing in the streets
and happy as hell about the mass killing of innocent Americans.
I saw some interviewed on TV and they said:
"It's GREAT! We should have killed more!",
and one young man said:
"If I could only kill an American, my life would be complete!".
He was cheered on by his friends.

These people hate us.
They hate us more because we don't even know why they hate us!
The basic reason for their hate is like the way some poor people
hate the rich...especially the rich who flaunt it.

If I have a shack with electricity and a toilet,
I'm rich to an Afghanistani, and he hates me for it.
They are a primitive society.
They are cruel, especially to women.
It is not just their leaders.
To those people bin Laden is a hero!
The most popular name in Afghanistan for male babies is "Osama".

Americans need to toughen up in their thinking.
The bombs dropped on Japan caused terrible collateral damage,
but it saved lives in the long run,
and changed the course of the world for the better.

It's our innocent people or theirs.
Let's make up our minds.
